Our Story β‘
Hi, Iβm Reanna β‘
I've always been someone who creates. Rooted Maker Co. grew from years of discovering that creativity, movement, and expression have always been ways back to myself.
β‘
As a child I loved making things and giving them away. Even if it was just a drawing, creating something with my hands and sharing it with someone else felt special to me. Looking back now, I can see that gift giving has always been one of my love languages.
I was the kid constantly making something. Drawing, DIY projects, and finding ways to turn imagination into something tangible.
Movement was a part of my story too.
I danced from a young age and later spent my high school years immersed in ballet and hip hop. At the time I didn't fully realize how much dance was giving me. It became more than movement. It became an outlet and a way for me to move through both physical and emotional experiences.
That felt especially meaningful after undergoing major spinal surgery at the age of twelve and being told that physical activity could be difficult for me.
Dance gave me a place to process, release, and reconnect with myself.
After high school, when dancing quietly faded from my life, I eventually realized I had also lost one of the ways I had learned to move through what I was carrying.
Looking back now, I can see that movement, creating, sound, and expression have always been speaking the same language in my life.
I've just continued finding new ways back to it.
I didn't just want to make blankets. I wanted to create things that felt alive. Shoes, stuffed animals, little pieces filled with personality and love. I made my daughter a Minnie Mouse lovey as my first major project, and for my second daughter I made a Cheshire Cat stuffy.
Later, while pregnant with my first daughter, I taught myself how to crochet. A hobby I had once brushed aside as a child suddenly became something entirely different.
Creating was never just about making things.
In 2022 our family moved to Florida and soon after found ourselves surprised with a pregnancy no one was expecting. I had moved away from friends, was navigating deep personal and spiritual shifts, and suddenly felt untethered in so many ways.
So I did what I knew how to do.
I created.
The idea of sewing baby clothes to save money came to mind and I ran with it. What began with blankets and bibs slowly grew into detailed dresses and rompers, eventually becoming Little Britches & Twirls, which I opened in Christmas of 2023.
I loved watching ideas become something tangible. I loved the patterns, the details, and the process.
But life has seasons.
Between homeschooling, a newborn, motherhood, and living without a village, I quietly found myself in burnout and closed the doors in the summer of 2024.
Without the pressure to create for income, I finally gave myself permission to look inward.
In 2025 my husband accepted a job back in Louisiana, leaving me in Florida with our three children while I managed the house and prepared to sell our home along with homeschooling, teaching somatic yoga and playing crystal sound bowls at a local studio.
One day at a local market with my aunt and kids, I stumbled across a local mandala artist.
I was immediately drawn in.
βOMGβ¦ I can do this!β
I remember thinking,
(first dot art mandala painting)
So I did.
I found Lauren, owner of Love and Dots, and invested in learning proper techniques and expanding my understanding of the art.
Painting became more than paint on a canvas.
During uncertain and lonely seasons, it became my meditation. My exhale. My permission to play.
Motherhood had quietly become my entire identity twenty four hours a day.
Painting gave me space to breathe again.
The hardest part through all of this was realizing I kept feeling like I had to choose one version of myself.
Mother.
Painter.
Seamstress.
Creator.
But I am learning that I was never meant to fit into one box.
Like my soul, there are many layers to what i create and who i am becoming.
Rooted Maker Co. was born from that understanding.
A place where creativity, family rhythms, nervous system support, handmade living, and curiosity can exist together without needing to fit neatly into one category.
My hope is that when you step into this space, you feel at home.
I want you to feel that exhale.
I want you to feel safe enough to be whatever is calling you in that moment.
Whether that's creating, learning, resting, gathering inspiration, reconnecting with yourself, or simply sitting for a while.
I hope this becomes more than a business.
I hope it becomes a place to pull up a chair, grow together, and remember that we don't have to fit ourselves into one box.

Every table holds a different part of the journey and each one tells a story.

Creating with fabric has always felt like more than sewing pieces together. I'm drawn to natural materials like cotton, bamboo, and linen, choosing fabrics that feel as nourishing as they are beautiful. What began as a practical way to create for my family became another expression of care, creativity, and slowing down.

The Studio Table is about more than creating art.
It's a place for expression, experimentation, and investing in pieces with many layers. Pieces that not only hold a visual statement, but sometimes an energetic or emotional one as well.
Painting became my meditation during uncertain seasons and gave me permission to play again. Every layer carries intention, expression, and a little piece of the journey.
This table leaves room for creativity to evolve and become whatever it's asking to be.

The kitchen table is where nourishment, creativity, and learning gather together.
It's a place where I grow and nurture the very plants that can also nourish the body as medicine. Whether that's a deeply supportive postpartum herbal tea blend or homemade strawberry cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven, I believe there is something sacred about creating things that care for the people around us.

Item descriptionThe Rooted Living Table has evolved many times throughout my life.
From dancing and movement to yoga, sound, mindfulness, and deeper inner work, I've found practices that helped carry me through some of my hardest seasons. I wouldn't be the mother or person I am today without beginning the work of turning inward.
This table is a place for family rhythms, nervous system support, grounding practices, and remembering that caring for ourselves allows us to show up more fully for the people we love.
