Modern Outlaw started as a personal challenge to step outside the way I normally create. I wanted to let go of familiar patterns and begin with something simple, allowing curiosity to lead instead of certainty.

That inspiration came from a single leaf.

Its gentle curves and natural symmetry became the first layer of the mandala, and from there the rest of the design unfolded organically. Rather than following a fixed plan, each decision was shaped by the one before it, creating a piece that feels both intentional and free.

As the painting evolved, it became clear that it didn't need elaborate embellishments. Mirrors and subtle dimensional details were enough. Their quiet reflections allow the artwork to shift with changing light, inviting new details to emerge throughout the day.

Looking back, Modern Outlaw became a reminder that creativity doesn't always need more. Sometimes it simply needs the courage to begin somewhere unexpected and the patience to trust what unfolds.
