Desert Bloom
Where It Began
Desert Bloom was never meant to become a floral mandala.
It began with warm desert colors and an elegant palette inspired by sunlit landscapes. As the painting slowly unfolded, flowers naturally began appearing throughout the design, almost as though they had been waiting beneath each layer.
At the same time, my hibiscus plants outside were blooming one flower at a time. Watching those blossoms appear unexpectedly each morning became a quiet reminder that nature never repeats itself. No two flowers bloom exactly alike, and I wanted this artwork to reflect that same individuality.
This became the first mandala where floral forms took center stage, marking an important turning point in my creative journey.

A Moment to Notice
Stand back and notice how the warm center gently gives way to softer floral forms.
As you move closer, the layered pearls, mirrors, and dimensional paint begin catching the light, revealing small details that almost disappear from across the room.
Like a garden, this artwork continues to reveal itself over time.
