Sacred Flame

A study in feminine power, self remembrance, and the beauty that can emerge when we learn to tend our own fire.

Sacred Flame began during a season of deep reflection and change.

Sometimes the versions of ourselves that once helped us survive, nurture, provide, and care for others eventually become identities we have to release.

This piece emerged from that space.

Rich burgundy, earthy ochres, warm clay tones, and soft blushes create a palette that holds both fire and tenderness. Mirrors are placed throughout the design to direct the ember like energy outward, while the sunray inspired edge filters and softens the intensity of the flame.

The result is a piece that feels both powerful and nurturing. A reminder that these qualities were never meant to exist separately.

One of the most unexpected moments of creating Sacred Flame came during the final hour.

I spent that time adding the last row of tiny golden dots, moving slowly and repetitively around the piece. The warmth of the gold felt like creating my own little rays of sunlight.

Life had been moving quickly, and my mind had been moving with it. But somewhere within that repetitive movement, something shifted.

The noise went quiet.

What began as a final detail became a moment of stillness, grounding, and connection. A reminder that sometimes the act of creating can transform more than the canvas.

Sacred Flame is an exploration of what happens when we stop extinguishing our own fire and begin tending to it instead.
