Desert Bloom

Inspired by blooming flowers, warm desert tones, and the quiet reminder that nature is never meant to be perfectly repeated.

About This Piece

Desert Bloom began with a warm, elegant color palette inspired by desert landscapes and the quiet beauty found in nature. As each layer unfolded, flowers began appearing throughout the design, almost as though they were blooming alongside the painting itself.

At the time, my hibiscus plants were blooming one flower at a time. Watching each blossom emerge reminded me that no two flowers are ever exactly alike. That same sense of individuality found its way into this piece, making each floral motif feel playful, organic, and alive.

This painting also marked the first time floral elements became part of my mandala work. It became an invitation to experiment, trust the process, and allow nature to guide the design rather than forcing perfection.
